A Minute of Mala – Are you in the Right Room?

The Wrong Room?

Permission to leave is here!

Maybe you’re not overthinking…
maybe you’re just in the wrong room.

There’s a quiet pattern I’ve noticed in midlife.

Spaces that look supportive…
sound supportive…
talk about connection, elevation, being “there for each other”…

…and yet something doesn’t quite land.

You can’t always explain it.
But you can feel it.

That slight hesitation.
That lack of warmth.
That sense you’re adjusting yourself… just to fit.

So we do what we’ve been taught:

🧡 give it time
🧡 give people the benefit of the doubt
🧡 tell ourselves it’s probably us

But what if it isn’t?

What if your body is simply telling you —
this isn’t your room.

Because when it is?

You don’t have to work for it.
You don’t have to prove yourself.
You don’t leave questioning your worth.

You exhale.

Midlife, for me, is about choosing that feeling.

Not the “it’s probably fine”…
but the ahhhh, I feel at home here.
