PRODUCT OF THE MONTH: THE ISSVIVA & JOYLUX VAGINAL REJUVATION DEVICE

It was a few years after the birth of my second son at 40 that I noticed the first signs of vaginal laxity as it’s formally known! To me it manifested as not being so able to hold my pee when I needed to and a feeling that after two pregnancies and a fairly traumatic second birth, my vagina and the tissue was not as it was!

A woman wearing light blue bikini bottoms holds peeled orange slices near their waist. The photo, softly lit and closely cropped, focuses on their hands and torso—echoing the refreshing aesthetic of Issviva’s vaginal rejuvenation device.

I know, just like the rest of the body, collagen depletes in the skin tissue of the vagina and tis this depletion that leads to stress incontinence as well as a loss in sexual function, hence it not feeling the same ‘down there’!

I’d also noticed as time went on vaginal dryness that I’d never experienced before which makes me feel uncomfortable at times.

I’d read a lot about various procedures including a more invasive laser treatment that can have good results but is fairly painful and isn’t a life-long cure but felt more drawn to a device I could use myself whenever I wanted to improve things!

How the Issviva x Joylux Vaginal Rejuvenation Device works

Awarded Bronze in “Get The Gloss” Best Menopause Wellness Product 2023!

A hand holds a sleek white and pink Joylux vaginal rejuvenation device with buttons on its handle and an illuminated section near the middle. The background is plain white, highlighting the modern look of this Issviva product.

Issviva has partnered with leading expert Joylux to create the first device using light technology to tighten and rejuvenate the vaginal tissue by rebuilding collagen and elastin.

Backed by impressive science and endorses by a whole raft of medical  professionals around the world, the rejuvenation device helps women experience up to 91% less vaginal dryness, 95% more vaginal tightness, 90% improvement in a bladder leakage and 89% less pain with intercourse.

The unique combination of treatment modalities helps stimulate collagen regeneration and vascularisation in the vaginal tissues and muscles. The clinical proven results include vaginal tightening, improved bladder function and increased lubrication, as well as improvements in quality of life, self-confidence, and sexual function. The device can also support uterine prolapses, where the uterus falls into the vaginal canal. By helping this internal tissue tighten, it can prevent essential surgery.

When red light technology is applied to tissue, our mitochondria (the brain of our cells) is activated and releases two chemicals: ATP (the energy of cells) and nitric oxide. ATP increases the natural production of collagen and elastin, while nitric oxide increases blood flow, leading to greater circulation and tissue repair.

The device also uses vibration which improves the delivery of the light energy into the tissues, adding to the efficacy of the Issviva x Joylux Vaginal Rejuvenation Device. Vibration has been shown to have a positive correlation with vaginal health, stimulating fibroblasts, a type of cell that contributes to the formation of connective tissue.

A three-part treatment, the final aspect is heat: once inserted the device heats the vaginal tissue to 40-42°C. This helps to alter localised collagen. As we age, our tissues de-coil, causing skin laxity. The Issviva x Joylux Vaginal Rejuvenation Device takes these collagen fibres and re-tightens the tissues.

Researching more I found this is why women using the device see results within just two weeks – they are experiencing their existing collagen reforming. It then takes a further 4-6 weeks for new collagen to form.

HOW TO USE

The device is very ergonomic in design and looks surprisingly stylish, I also found it easy and comfortable to use.

A smiling woman in a pale pink off-shoulder dress sits beside a man in a black suit and white shirt. Lounging under purple lights, her tan purse rests nearby—perhaps holding her Joylux vaginal rejuvenation device for on-the-go confidence.

All I had to do was commit to inserting it for 10 minutes every other day – I did feel a warm, slightly tingly sensation which wasn’t unpleasant and it’s not messy or inconvenient to use. There are special wipes you can use if needed but I didn’t worry too much.

I tended to use the device after a shower at night when I was relaxed and didn’t need to rush, 10 minutes isn’t a long time to commit and although the experts behind the product say you should receive ultimate benefits from between six to 12 weeks I was pleasantly surprised to find a real difference after eight weeks.

It is important to have top ups as an on-ging maintenance-style programme, this ensures the area remains toned and collagen levels stay topped up.

I can happily report the leaky feeling I had after a Zumba class and when I’d been holding on for a pee has disappeared and I do feel genuinely tighter.

I had read great reports on this product but was pleasantly surprised on just effective it is!
