Together with my husband and two sons, we went for a five-day break to stay at Wynholme, a holiday cottage on the so-called Champagne Coast in Norfolk.
I think it is called this because it’s not far from the Sandringham Estate down the road.
It is definitely full of horsey and doggy people! I’ve never known such a dog-friendly area, so if you have pooches you can pretty much take them anywhere with you.
The beaches in Norfolk are stunning!

From Holme-next-the-Sea to Brancaster, Holkham (the royals’ favourite), and Wells-next-the-Sea, you can walk for miles on the golden sands!
The restaurants and pub dining are pricey and posh, but there’s lots to choose from and the food is great.
Food and Drink
The Gastro Pubs

The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe and the White Horse at Holme next the sea are both fabulous, with great food and rooms to stay.

NoTwenty9 – Bar & Restaurant
Also for a buzzy vibrant atmosphere no 29 Burnham market is a great night out!

The kids loved it!
Keeping children happy was surprisingly easy with crab fishing in Wells-next-the-Sea, which one of my sons, who has a passion for anything that moves, loved.

Also, Hunstanton has a Sea Life Centre and even some arcades.
Let’s not forget the Wash Monster
An amphibious vehicle on wheels that turns into a boat trip which goes out to visit the seals. My boys loved it!

The Deer Farm!

Snettisham Deer and Farm Park is also close by, where you can go on a deer safari and see baby lambs!
Staying at Wynholme
Wynholme itself is a fabulous place to stay, just outside the stunning village of Holme-next-the-Sea.

So spacious, with four bedrooms sleeping eight, a stunning open-plan kitchen and orangery, and three huge TVs if you get a rainy day.

Just down the road is the Thornham Deli with its great cosy atmosphere, delicious food and lots of dogs!
Wynholme is a great house for taking all the family, in a great location and close to amenities!

Booking online is easy on the Norfolk Hideaways website and a complimentary starter pack is provided on your arrival, which includes essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk.
